I want to ask you something. And I don’t want you to answer right away. In fact, I hope you pause, reflect, and be completely honest; not with me, but with yourself and with God.
If you could ask God one question, and you knew He would answer you audibly, right now, what would you ask Him?
Take a moment to let that sink in. I did!
Don’t ask your friend, your pastor, a co-worker, or even a family member. Don’t try to hide it. This is about being real, honest, and completely transparent with your Father. The One who already knows what’s inside of you, but invites you to speak anyway. Don’t look for someone else’s answer. This is about your heart. Your question. Your voice.
You may be wondering, “Why that question?”
Because I want you to feel the heart of God. I want you to recognize how deeply He loves you and how relentlessly He has pursued you, not for religion, but for relationship.
When God created the heavens and the earth, He looked at His creation and called it good. But He created Adam and Eve, flawless, blameless, without stain or wrinkle. They were His masterpiece. But they were deceived. Not by God, but by an enemy whose only mission is to separate us from the One who made us.
They believed a lie, and that lie led to separation. But even then, God began a redemption story that never stopped unfolding.
Sound familiar?
From the beginning, people have listened to the wrong voices. We’ve connected with the wrong spirits. We’ve chased temporary things and believed one lie after another. And yet, none of it stopped God from trying to bring us back.
When He delivered His people from Egypt, they complained and doubted, turning what could’ve been an 11-day journey into 40 years of wandering (Exodus 16:2-3; Numbers 14:33-34). When they asked Samuel for a human king, God reminded him, “They’re not rejecting you, Samuel. They’re rejecting Me, as they have from the beginning.”(1 Samuel 8:7)
And still, God keeps coming for you.
Even when Elijah stood on Mount Carmel and called down fire to reveal the one true God, the people only returned for a moment before drifting again (1 Kings 18:21-39). And yet, God kept reaching.
Why? Because His love is unfailing.
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” - Psalm 103:8
And then came the greatest act of love: God sent His Son, Jesus; not just to speak the truth, but to be the truth. To walk among us. To carry our pain. To pay the price for our sin. He endured betrayal, rejection, beatings, and death; not because we were worthy, but because He couldn’t bear for us to be separated from Him.
Can you imagine sending your child into a world that would reject and crucify them, all for the sake of restoring someone who may still turn away? That’s how deep God’s love goes.
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
You see, Jesus came to restore what was lost. To erase shame, heal wounds, break chains, and reconnect you to the heart of your Father. And today, no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, you need to hear this: you are not too far gone.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” - Jeremiah 31:3
You’re not forgotten. You haven't missed your chance. And there is absolutely nothing that can separate you from His love.
“I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38–39
So maybe your question for God is about your past. Or maybe it’s about your future. Maybe it comes from a place of deep pain or deep hope. Whatever it is, He’s not afraid of it. He’s not avoiding you. He welcomes your questions because He’s after your heart, not just your words.
Sometimes your question will lead you to answers. Sometimes it will lead you to a deeper relationship. Either way, if it brings you closer to Him, it’s worth asking.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.” - Isaiah 43:1
The more you lean into Him, the more your heart begins to beat with His. And as it does, your questions may start to change, not because they weren’t valid, but because His love starts becoming the answer you never knew you needed.
So go ahead. Ask Him.
Ask in faith. Ask in honesty. Ask like a child who trusts that their Father is listening, because He is. And He always has been.
Pray With Me:
Father God,
Thank You for loving me even when I didn’t understand it.
Thank You for never turning away when I’ve had doubts, questions, and fears. Today, I come to You with an open heart. I bring my questions, my confusion, my longing, and I ask You to speak.
Show me who You are. Let me feel Your love in a deeper way. Help me see that You’ve never left me, and You’re not leaving now. I may not get all the answers, but remind me that You are the answer. I trust You. I belong to You.
