I was watching a YouTube video today, and a young boy asked his mother, “How much is my life worth?”
Instead of answering, she handed him a stone and said, “Go out and find how much this is worth. When you’re done, come back, and I’ll answer your question.”
So the boy went out and asked three different people.
The first man looked at the stone and said, “I’m not sure, but I’ll give you a piece of fruit for it.”
The second man glanced at it and replied, “I don’t need one of those.”
But the third man’s eyes lit up. He said, “This is the most perfect gem I’ve ever seen. I can’t even imagine its value. In my opinion, it’s priceless.”
The boy returned home, still confused, and asked, “Mom, what does this stone have to do with the value of my life?”
She looked at him and said, “People will value you based on their point of view, their level of information, and their belief in you. But that doesn’t change the fact that you are priceless. Remember, surround yourself with people who value you.”
Let that sink in. You are priceless. Not because of how people see you, but because of how God sees you.
The Word of God says, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:14). That’s who you are fearfully, wonderfully, and purposefully made by God.
The following quote is one of my favorites. “Everything we think comes into existence, so only think things that you want to come into existence. How you think creates how you feel. How you feel becomes an emotion. That emotion becomes a vibration. And that vibration becomes a magnet that attracts things to you. So protect your mind.”
Translation? Protect your mind.Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Be mindful of what you think about. Because what lives in your mind will eventually show up in your life.
Let me share something real with you. I was sitting in the living room after a long, draining day. The TV was on, but I wasn’t really watching it. I was just tired, mentally, emotionally, all of it. Then my phone buzzed. It was a message from my daughter. Five simple words: “You are a good dad.”
Those five words hit me deep. I’m not usually the emotional type, but my eyes filled with tears. In that moment, it felt like God was using her to say, “I see you. I’m proud of you.”
Let this speak to you today: People who are truly sent by God to walk with you will never use their words as weapons. They won’t tear you down when you’re already struggling. They won’t make you feel small when you’re trying to grow. They’ll speak life. They’ll call out the greatness in you, even when you can’t see it for yourself. But even if no one else ever does, God already has.
He saw value in you before you ever proved anything. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
That’s priceless. You are priceless. Stop letting every opinion become your identity. Just because someone says you’re not enough doesn’t mean it’s true. What does God say? He says you’re chosen (1 Peter 2:9), loved (Jeremiah 31:3), and created with purpose (Ephesians 2:10).
Stop shrinking to fit into what others expect from you. It’s time to stand firm in the truth of who God made you to be. Sometimes, God doesn’t clear the fog around you; instead, He gives you wings to rise above it.
Hear this deep in your spirit today: You are good enough. You are deeply loved. You are fully seen.
You are chosen. You are priceless.
There will be times when you feel invisible, like no one notices the burdens you carry or the fight inside you. But God does. He never sleeps. He never forgets. He never overlooks those He calls His own.
Isaiah 49:16 says, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
Stop people-pleasing. That’s called survival mode, but you’re stepping into revival mode now. You’re stepping into your God-given purpose. And anyone truly meant to walk with you will never ask you to dim your light just to make them feel safe.
The enemy will try to distract you with lies, delays, and doubts. Don’t fall for it. Keep your eyes fixed on God. Keep your faith strong. Philippians 1:6 reminds us, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Just like that stone the boy was asked to value, your life is priceless; not because I say it, but because God says it. No one else can put a price on your worth. People might try, but only God truly knows the treasure you are. He made you fearfully and wonderfully, loved you before you even took your first breath, and sealed your value with His own blood on the cross.
So hold this truth close: you are priceless, chosen, and deeply loved. When the world tries to tell you otherwise, remember who declares you are enough, God’s truth does. And His truth is the only thing that truly matters.
Let’s Pray:
Father God,
Thank You for creating me with divine intention. Thank You for calling me priceless, even when the world tries to put a price tag on me. Remind me to silence every lie and align my heart with Your truth. Let me walk boldly in my purpose, unapologetically whole and fully seen by You. May I never forget that my identity comes from You, not from people pleasing, titles, or validation. Use my life for Your glory.
