What if the one thing you’re meant to do in life has the power to change not only your world, but the world around you?
What if your life wasn’t just a series of random events? What if it was a mission—a force waiting to change everything? What would your mission statement be?
The great Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “If a man has not discovered what he will die for, he is not fit to live.” That statement isn’t just profound; it’s a wake-up call. What is your purpose? What’s worth fighting for? What would you put it all on the line for?
Martin Luther King Jr. knew his mission, and Jesus did too. But what about you?
I’m not asking you to compare yourself to them. They had their path, and you have yours. But make no mistake—you have a mission too. You’ve always had it. It’s not about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming the fullest version of you.
Look deep inside yourself. What is the one thing that excites you, that calls to you, that makes you feel alive? If you’re a parent, maybe it’s giving your children a life better than the one you had. Maybe it’s helping your community or supporting those you love. Or maybe it’s something that lives only in your heart—a dream, a vision, a desire.
Think back to when you were younger. What did you want to be before fear had a chance to speak? What did you dream about before doubt settled in? What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
Maybe your mission is to live boldly, to unlock your full potential, and to inspire others to do the same. What are you loyal to? What would you stand for, even when the world says it’s impossible?
Ask yourself: What would you do for free? The answer is already inside you. The truth of who you’re meant to be has been planted in your soul from the moment you were born. Over the years, you’ve watered it—sometimes without even knowing it. Maybe life got in the way or fear caused you to set it aside, but it’s always there, waiting for you to reclaim it. A memory, a thought, a small spark—sometimes that’s all it takes to reconnect you to that dream.
But here’s the real question: Why did you stop pursuing it?
For me, growing up, we didn’t have much. But I had something far more powerful: a deep conviction that there was something within me that needed to awaken. I watched my mother raise five kids on her own, working three jobs to provide. Her strength ignited something in me—it told me that I had a purpose, that I wasn’t just surviving, but I was meant to thrive.
And let me tell you: It’s not just in a few of us—it’s in all of us. That fire, that purpose? It’s inside you too.
No matter the struggles you’ve faced—financial hardship, loss, rejection, or fear—those are not the things that define you. They are the building blocks of your story. Every obstacle, every setback, is pushing you closer to your true mission. Those challenges aren’t the end of your story—they’re shaping you into the person you were meant to become.
For me, I always dreamed of being an author. And I achieved that. But I didn’t stop there. I see myself as a New York Times bestselling author. It hasn’t happened yet, but I know it will. I’ve seen it in my dreams. And you have your own vision, don’t you? A dream, a passion, a mission that’s been quietly waiting for you to return to it.
Your story isn’t over. It’s just in a different chapter. Every day is an opportunity to move closer to your true purpose. And the best part? You’re still writing your story.
So, don’t you dare give up. Don’t bury that dream. Fight for it. If you need clarity, pray for it. Ask God to reveal what’s been hidden, to guide your steps, because everything you need is already inside of you. You’ve had it all along.
I live each day with one mission: to become the person I was created to be, to unlock my potential, and to inspire others to do the same. And you have that same power. You will become the person you were meant to be. You already have everything you need to succeed.
Why do I know this? Because God says so. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Those aren’t just words—they are the truth.
Trust God. Trust the plans He has for your life. And become who He created you to be.
